[although none too pleased with some things going on in the
online scene these days, it is difficult to deny when people
do extraordinary things with sometimes mundane EM tech,
like the GPS and mapping. i am uncertain if this is a real
project, as the data has no legend, and maybe it is prior
to the launch. my misunderstanding likely. but assuming
this is an actual project, it is quite fascinating, and it is
what is to be admired in those on the bleeding edge...]

The telephone, satellites and the Internet: VOPOS exploits and merges
three kinds of net. The two members of 0100101110101101.ORG are the
cell under control. They wear a GPS transmitter that sends, through a
cell phone, its co-ordinates to the server. A software draws on a
digital geographic map the exact position in which they reside,
establishing a path that traces all the movements of the cell under
control.

[mention needs to be made of the dual-use of such artworks,
as this lands square in the midde of the privacy debate, and
it is may be a 'public' domain yet to be defined, in the realm
of electromagnetic communication spaces and their places,
and social boundaries and codes that constitute cultural.nets.
likely this will be resolved by lawsuits rather than reasoning.
here is my favorite diagram of the project, although it seems
a subset or parallel system in relation to the GPS-satellites.]
