ARTISTS EXPERIMENT WITH A NEW EXHIBITION FORMAT
 
Media facades in urban space become a playground for 24 artists from Berlin.
The exploration of a new exhibition medium in terms of content, format,
location and spatiality is the heart of the festival. Is it possible to make
art on commercial screens? The media facades that will participate in
October are: SAP facade, O2 World, Gasometer Schöneberg, Collegium
Hungaricum Berlin Wall-terminal.
 
FIRST OPEN SCREENINGS  EXPERIMENT AT THE CHB
 
The media facades festival is an ongoing collaborative-creative process.  It
involves the artists, the facades owners, the promoters, and the community
too! This is why we chose to make our first test screening public.
The first public test screenings will take place during the “Long Night of
the Museums” exclusively on the facade of the Collegium Hungaricum Berlin,
near the Museumsinsel.
 
8 selected artists will give a first preview of their work:

The Festival reflects on a worldwide trend of large digital moving images
integrated in facade structures and explores their function as comunicative
element.
