"GROUND OF MY STUDIO"

"GROUND OF MY STUDIO" is an ambiental mix of offline/online sculptural, video and net.art installations with real time VJing. Online part of the project can be found at http://www.wowm.org/gradec/.

The goal of this multimedia project is to accentuate : parallel articulation of similar ideas; visual experiences as forms in the online/offline zones; offline zone as a new circuit of net intensity; transforming of "white cube" to immersive, sensorial, multimedia evolving experience; "virtual is part of the real" syntagma. 

As main physical part of this project big sculptural installation "Ground of my studio" is the real studio's floor uplifted in vertical position with projections onto it. Artists from all over the world are uploading the images of the floors of their studios through website. Preprocessed and projected on the surface, they form one big everchanging abstract painting.  http://www.wowm.org/gradec/fileupload/upload_image.php

The other big physical part of the show is Ruth Catlow's early web project 'Diary of the objects on the street', which curators extended to the offline zone. Two projectors project the data on semi transparent irregularly shapped dynamically resizing surface. The data consists of pictures of the objects found on the streets, collected/made by the artist herself and of the pictures which are uploaded to the site by contributors from all over the world. http://www.wowm.org/gradec/fileupload2/upload_image.php

The online part of the exhibition will be on the net as an ongoing web installation, accumulating the received material and processing it over the duration of the project. Please visit the exhibition and participate in it!
