CALL FOR 2 new 8 channel ASIAN SOUNDWORKS

STREETS of ASIA - street level sound art -

The sound art group SSSHHHHH..... are looking for 2 new works by 2 asian
composers for The SSSHHHHH.....Ghetto Blaster Ensemble. The pieces will be
premiered at Aarhus Festuge 30th of august 2003 together with 6 other
pieces by danish and asian composers; Jørgen Teller, Jakob Draminsky
Højmark, Rasmus B. Lunding, Jakob Kierkegård, Yasuhiro Otani ao.

The piece must be based on asian sounds and delivered on 8 CD-R's with a
score / spatialisation-choregraphy for the conductor - before 1st of
august 2003. Duration app. 15 minutes.

The SSSHHHHH..... Ghettoblaster Ensemble is a mobile sound unit designed
to perform sound art. It consists of 8 musicians and a conductor. Each
of the 8 musicians has an instrument: the Ghettoblaster. The sound
pieces are made especially for the ghettoblaster and for this ensemble,
and consists of 8 CD-R's and a score / spatialisation-chopregraphy
produced by the composer.

The SSSHHHHH..... Ghettoblaster Ensemble is:

Musicians: Tobias Kirstein, Sune T. B. Nielsen, Steffen Leve Poulsen,
Søren Raagaard, Jakob Riis, Pelle Skovmand, Peter Sørensen and Jørgen
Teller.
