Euroscreen21 brings together video/multimedia artists loosely applying
the
idea of what is Europe today and how does an artist consider the concept of
'home' as a place of demeur in one of those countries.
Starting from the initial idea and concept of Judith Nothnagel, Media
Artist, Curator, Euroscreen21 depicts these parallel realities, for some
very close to the skin, for some more politically involved, for some as a
very inherent landscape as such. Nevertheless all the films have one common
point: they endure one minute.

ELASTIC Group of Artistic Research presents us 'Nature Requiem: Finisterre,
Galicia 2002' 'In memoriam of the dark tide: never more' a serene vision of
'the end of the end of the world' in artists' words.
For Nora Martirosyan from Armenia 'Home .. is a particular functioning of
social structures.' Her film ' "The doorbell" is a metaphor for it'.
'What home means...' to Ventsislav Zankov from Bulgaria: 'What my home means
while we are in a permanent transitions. Now we have to
adopt the global values in a politically correct way. We are told this is
the only way. Nobody mentions what we have to lose in this transitions,
which appears to be one-way street.'
Michael Sellam brings us to 'the border between dream and reality' which 'is
sometimes so complex for communication that an event must reformulate and
enable it to traverse the world.' This ideal of France he encapsulates in
one minute of 'Traum'.
Benjamin Fleig from Germany starts his vision of Germany with slogan 'Be an
Achiever'. He continues: 'Horst is home is hostel is hail is huge is haven
is harmony is heat is habit is heart is hold is heritage is honesty is hope
is hello is honey is healing is Horst.'
'A real virtual house in the world wide web !' by Elastic Group invites us
to a busy busy Italian caffe 'ristretto' realm and the following symptoms.
In quite a contrast Johanna Lecklin shares the Dinner of the Year from the
land of Father Christmas.

There are 32 stories more, please enjoy!
