YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN AN EXPERIMENTAL PROJECT 'ENTRE'

BECOME A SCORE FOR A CHOREOGRAPHY

This project is being developed by Lali Krotoszynski, currently a UNESCO -
ASCHEBERG
artists in residence in partnership with Caiia-STAR (Centre for Advanced
Inquiry into Interactive Arts, Science, Technology and Arts Research) at the
School of Computing, University of Plymouth.

More about the project:

ENTRE means between and also " come in " in Portuguese. The main aspect of
the project is to establish a cross reading through dance to write, and the
other way around in order to build a bridge between personal interpretation
to a shared composition process.

How to participate in the project:

Please go to
http://lcinfo.hostnow.com.br/lalik/wip/menu_2.htm

There you can find segments of a text describing poetically movements
from a dance. Choose one segment or more and provide an interpretation of
this/these fragments with your body and take a photograph of your body
showing your response to the text.

The photographs must show full body and be sent by e-mail to
lalik at ajato.com.br until June the 16th.

The next stage of the project:

Collected photographs will be used as base material for creating a new
choreography. The photographs will be arranged sequentially becoming a score
for the development of a choreography to be created and interpreted by
the artist.

The emerging choreography will be then presented as animated still video
frames made from a recording of the artist's interpretation of the received
material and available at http://lalik.net

The Internet premiere of the outcome of the project will be announced by
e-mail for all contributors.

The premiere of phase one will take place at Plymouth's Arts Centre on June
28th and also on-line at the same date.

You can also visit Lali's previous on-line dance project Dance Juke Box at:
