W. J. T. Mitchell is distinguished Professor of English and Art History, University of Chicago. He is editor of Critical Inquiry. Mitchell published the following world known books: Iconology: Image, Text, Ideology, University of Chicago Press, 1986; Picture Theory, University of Chicago Press, 1994; The Last Dinosaur Book: The Life and Times of a Cultural Icon, University of Chicago Press, 1998. 

Slavoj Zizek is senior Researcher at the Institute for Social Studies, Ljubljana. His published books include The Sublime Object of Ideology, The Plague of Fantasies, The Indivisible Remainder, The Ticklish Subject (all published for Verso), and many others. 


The lecture will be in English.
