The United States was feeding the Afghan people long before the bombs 
started falling...well over $100,000,000 worth in the past year if 
memory serves.  More than any other country including the various 
Arab and Islamic states.

But let's accept the assumption that the US feeds starving people 
merely as a way to influence public opinion.  Next, compare this to 
the Taliban/bin Ladin regime that kills 1000's of people in a single 
stroke to influence public opinion.

Now choose.
