"Amaze / a Maze" event
14, 15 and 16 March 2008


'Hotel Volzet' is an art society which organised during the previous 
years,
the "Independent Arts"-Festival in Sint-Niklaas (Belgium). Because of 
the
success of the festival and stirred by experiences gained during other
projects, we think it's time Sint-Niklaas should have its own cultural
weekend. A cultural top weekend for a broad public with art both in its
common setting like museum and exhibition halls as beyond.

On March 14th ,15th and 16th 2008 'Hotel Volzet' organises a cultural
weekend. The concept of the festival remains the same: the interaction
between the artists and the public. What is different this time is the 
fact
that 'Amaze / a Maze' will throw open all kinds of different locations 
all
over the city centre. 'Amaze / a Maze' wants to look at the city in a
different way. Exhibitions, performances, visual arts, music, ... 
anything
that has to do with culture/art will get a chance during 'Amaze / a 
Maze'. A
solid programme, in which a wide range of international artists as well 
as
local talent will be at the centre, is being elaborated. There is no 
such
thing as 'a fixed theme'. A few threads however, like the juvenile book
week, are loosely woven throughout the weekend. Another thread is
'amazement'. By looking at the city in a different way 'Amaze / a Maze'
wants to amaze the visitors.

files, pictures, ... by using www.dropload.com
[3.] Your proposal contains all information from what you want to offer 
us
till what you wish in return. Any addition later on will exclude your
possible participation.

You will be noticed when we receive your proposal and if you have been
chosen to be part of our international cultural weekend, which focus 
itself
on the interaction between artists and the public, with the possibility 
to
meet many artists from all over the world.

For the organisation of this cultural weekend, 'Amaze / a Maze' can 
already
count on the support of the Cultural Centre, the Municipality of
Sint-Niklaas, Academy of Fine Arts, and many other organisations. In 
order
to make this weekend even more rousing, 'Amaze / a Maze' is looking for
organisations and individuals who have suggestions to boost this 
cultural
weekend.
