44 presentører; kunstnere, musikere, forskere og komponister; fra 16  
forskjellige land.

Trondheim Matchmaking er en møteplass for presentasjon av innovative  
idéer og kunstneriske prosjekter, et sted for å ivareta og utvikle  
kompetanse og ressurser innen ny teknologi og elektronisk kunst.  
Årets festival har 'MASKIN' som overordnet tema, og er koordinert med  
NoMuTe, Nordisk Musikkteknologikonferanse. Som del av festivalen  
åpnes utstilling ved Trøndelag Senter for Samtidskunst.

Festivalens tematikk knytter seg til mulighetene og begrensningene  
som ligger i de nye teknologiene vi i voksende grad omgir oss med. Og  
menneskets forhold til dem. Hvordan uttrykkes dette i kunsten, som  
base for idéer, og som verktøy for produksjon og framføring?

Festivalen åpnes torsdag 12. oktober kl 17.30 i Dokkhuset, og i løpet  
av helga blir det foredrag, åpning av utstilling (v/ Trøndelag Senter  
for Samtidskunst) og konserter. Festivalen rundes av med  
verdenspremiere på ’Heart Chamber Orchestra’; kunstnerduoen  
'Terminalbeach' og Trondheim Sinfonietta.

'MASKIN' - Trondheim Matchmaking 2006

October 13th - November 12th

44 lecturers; artists, musicians, researchers and composers; from 16  
countries.

Trondheim Matchmaking is an arena for presentations of innovative  
ideas and artistic projects – a place where competence and resources  
within electronic arts and new technology are maintained and  
developed. This year the main theme of the festival is  
‘MASKIN’ (Machine), and it is coordinated with NoMuTe, Nordic Music  
Technology Conference. As part of the festival an exhibition opens at  
Trøndelag Centre for Contemporary Art.

The subject of the festival relates to the possibilities and  
limitations that lies within the new technologies that we to an  
extending degree surround ourselves with. And man’s relation to them.  
How is this expressed within the arts, as base for ideas, and as tool  
for production and presentation.

Exhibitors, performers and lecturers are amongst many others: ,

The festival opens October 12th at 17.30 at Dokkhuset, and during the  
weekend there will be both lectures, exhibition opening (at Trøndelag  
Centre for Contemporary Art) and concerts. The festival finishes of  
with the world premiere of ’Heart Chamber Orchestra’; a concert with  
the artist duo 'Terminalbeach' and Trondheim Sinfonietta.
