[9000 Hz]
Sound intervention in the public space
Location: Hribarjevo nabrežje, Ljubljana

PLLUX06-9000 Hz is a minimalist intervention into the city soundscape. 
The project implements sound interventions in the public space with the 
help of numerous small-scale sound generators evenly distributed along 
the bank of the Ljubljanica River. The generators use solar energy to 
broadcast a continuous sound of 9000 Hz, so called “white noise”. 
Information on this high-frequency sound space will be available at the 
broadcasting locations.


[BLUE NUMBER]
Sound intervention in the public space
Location: public (telecommunication) space

PLLUX06-BLUE NUMBER is an intervention into the city soundscape. The 
project implements sound intervention within the telecommunication 
public space with the help of telephone lines.
Callers will be able to choose from eight sounds available through an 
automatic phone service on a free, so called blue phone number offered 
by the local telephone provider.  The sounds were produced by Tatjana 
Vujinović and Zvonka Simčič, who work with, among other media, 
experimental and computer generated sound. Such sonic interventions are 
intended to test relations toward mass media and capital by implanting 
art into the context of everyday praxis. Posters with information about 
the project will be available at numerous locations. The number of the 
automatic phone service is 080-80-15.


[AV DECOMPILATION]
Location: Makalonca, Hribarjevo nabrežje 19, Ljubljana

PlLux06 AV DECOMPILATION is a collection of acoustic and visual 
interferences made through deconstructive methods of working with 
digital signals. Such fluid spaces co-create physical locations where 
they are presented. Eight video pieces will be projected on Hribarjevo 
Nabrežje in Ljubljana from 21:00 until midnight, and sound will be 
transmitted within the spaces of Makalonca.
