CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
312 is looking for single channel artist videos that explore the concept
of THE INTERIOR, from physical to spiritual and everything in-between.
Submissions are not limited to any particular understanding of the concept
of THE INTERIOR, but are simply asked to explore this topic, however
loosely.

312 welcomes submissions from emerging and established artists, as well as
art students.

The work should look good on a small screen (11” wide x 8.5” high/28 cm
wide x 22 cm high). Duration: between 1 – 7 minutes in length.

Send only NTSC miniDV, VHS or DVD. We CANNOT accept PAL format. Please
ensure that your DVD+/-R works on a conventional home player.

Please include an Artist Statement, Brief Bio (50-100 words), CV, Video
Description, and SASE (within Canada ONLY; International submissions will
not be returned).

Do not send submissions in fibre-filled envelopes.

All packages sent from outside Canada must clearly be labeled: “No
Commercial Value/$0, for cultural purposes only.” 312 will not pay any
customs duties if the package is not labeled in this manner and your
package will be sent back.

312 is an alternative video exhibition space housed in the small foyer of
an apartment. Showcasing one channel video work on a television, 312
offers the visitor an intimate experience—a relaxing chair, a set of
headphones (or speakers for two people) and video art. It’s homey, it’s
small, and it’s for video.

Cheers,
Mark Prier
