RETROACT2006

Workshop for six curators and six art theorists collaborating on pieces
exploring the interaction between artists and artist's images.

The workshop will take place at Rubberdoll Niederer University and The
Museum of Contemporary Art in Hogestraat, Netherlands, 22nd to 27th of
August 2006.

Directors: Professor Geert Lovink, Dr. Andreas Broeckmann and Female
Curator Inke Arns.

Ideas for a project must be submitted before 15th of December 2005 to
Syndicate of Rubberdoll Niederer University (see below).

Applicants can be either individual curators or teams (curator/art
theorist); individual applicants will eventually be
paired by the group of directors.
Artists to work for will be participating during the week..

Application, CV, project description (incl. CDs, CD-ROMs or DVDs)
must be submitted in 40 copies, and must be able to fit into an A7
envelope.

Fee for participation of 5.000 Euro (workshop, lectures, exhibitions,
concerts, accommodation etc. included); to be paid by application, not
only when the project is accepted.

As a supplement to the practical, non-creative work, the workshop
offers space for reflection, exchange of symbolic goods and mutual
inspiration across the boundaries of the established non-working
relations.

Four art theory lectures are included in the programme, one from each
of the workshop directors. Of these will be exhibited at the Museum of
Contemporary Art during the period.

Besides participating in the workshop activities, the
ensembles/soloists will each present an evening. The intention is that
works by the directors participating in the workshop will be included
in these programmes.

During the workshop participants are encouraged to develop works for
performance/exhibition as part of a Antarctical tour 2017.
