If you're in town, just come around. If you're not, well, you can
always consider a quick visit, because Icelandic superstars Heimir
Björgúlfsson and Helgi Thorsson will be performing at Crónica's
birthday party.
Yes, we've been going on for over two years now, hard at work and
celebrating by presenting the latest releases: Heimir Björgúlfsson &
Jonas Ohlsson's King Glitch (Crónica 018~2005) and a Product CD from
Freiband and Boca Raton with very special guest cover art by Jan Robert
Leegte (Crónica 019~2005). Both releases will of course be available at
the occasion, along with the rest of the catalogue at special
anniversary prices.
The venue will take place at Passos Manuel in Porto, the entrance fee
is just 5?, and you'll take home a Crónica release completely gratis...
After the performance, Crónica's DJs will take over the place and spin
till late hours.
Next day, Heimir & Helgi will travel down to Lisbon, for a performance
at Zé dos Bois, where they'll split the bill with DJ Olive and Nuno
Rebelo. Among other releases, Olive can be found on a collaboration
with o.blaat on her CD Two Novels: Gaze / In the Cochlea, released in
Crónica last year.
Heimir Björgúlfsson & Helgi Thorsson, both born in Reykjavik, Iceland
in 1975. Both active as visual artists and electronic musicians,
currently live and work in The Netherlands and Iceland.
Heimir Björgúlfsson currently of The Vacuum boys and formerly of
Stilluppsteypa has numerous solo releases out on labels like Ritornell
/Mille Plateaux, Staalplaat, Bottrop-Boy Records and of course
FIRE.inc. whom he used to run from 1993-2003. He has collaborated with
numerous improvisational musicians such as Oren Ambarchi, Gert-Jan
Prins, Jeff Carey and Pimmon. Since his departure from Stilluppsteypa
in 2002 he has been actively working with The Vacuum Boys and
collaborating with swedish starlet Jonas Ohlsson.
Helgi Thorsson has been a member of Stilluppsteypa from 1992 until the
present day. With the group he has numerous releases out on labels like
Staalplaat, Ritornell/Mille Plateaux, ATAK, Bottrop-Boy Records and
FIRE.inc. and has toured extensively in Europe and USA. Further more he
has collaborated with Pimmon and icelandic superstar DJ Musician on
other projects.

Se estiver no Porto, apareça. Se não, bem, pode sempre pensar numa
visita rápida, porque as super estrelas islandesas Heimir Björgúlfsson
e Helgi Thorsson vão estar no aniversário da Crónica para um concerto.
Sim, já há dois anos que a Crónica existe e comemoramos apresentando
duas novas edições: King Glitch, de Heimir Björgúlfsson & Jonas Ohlsson
(Crónica 018~2005) e um Product de Freiband e Boca Raton com um
convidado muito especial para a criação da capa: Jan robert Leegte
(Crónica 019~2005). Ambas as edições vão estar disponíveis na ocasião,
bem como o restante catálogo a preços especiais de aniversário.
O local é o Passos Manuel, no Porto, a entrada custará apenas 5? e
ainda levará para casa uma das edições completamente gratuita.
No dia seguinte, Heimir e Helgi viajam até Lisboa, para um concerto na
ZDB em que dividirão o programa com DJ Olive e Nuno Rebelo.
Heimir Björgúlfsson e Helgi Thorsson nasceram ambos em Reykjavik,
Islândia, em 1975. Sao ambos artístas plásticos e músicos electrónicos.
Vivem ambos entre a Islândia e Amesterdão.
Heimir Björgúlfsson colabora actualmente com os The Vacuum Boys e
colaborou no passado com os Stilluppsteypa. Tem numerosas edições a
solo em editoras como Ritornell/Mille Plateaux, Staalplaat, Bottrop-Boy
Records e, claro, FIRE.inc, que ele dirigiu de 1993 a 2003. Colaborou
com diversos músicos improvisadores como Oren Ambarchi, Gert-Jan Prins,
Jeff Carey e Pimmon. Desde a sua saída dos Stilluppsteypa em 2002 qu
colabora com os The Vacuum Boys (www.vacuumboys.com) e com a starlet

Helgi Thorsson é membro dos Stilluppsteypa desde 2002. Tem diversas
edições com o grupo em editoras como Staalplaat, Ritornell/ Mille
Plateaux, ATAK, Bottrop-Boy Records and FIRE.inc. e actuou na Europa e
Estados Unidos. Colaborou em outros projectos com Pimmon e com a super
estrela islandesa DJ Musician.
