Experimental film screening, tonight, 8pm!

The next two Synthetic Zero events will be tonight, Wednesday, February 
2nd,
at 8pm, and Saturday, March 5th, at 7pm.  Tonight's event is a 
screening of
experimental films in conjunction with a CONVERSIONs event and art 
opening at
the Haven Gallery in Mott Haven, 235 E. 141st Street at Rider Avenue,
partially sponsored by the Bronx Council on the Arts.  The gallery 
opens at
6pm, and films start at 8.  The March event will be back at the 
Synthetic
Zero loft, and will include experimental film, music, visual art, and
performance.

Tonight's screening will include the following experimental films:

Kayoko Hashimoto, "testament" experimental music video (Kyoto, Japan)
Michael Betancourt, "Radio-Activity" (Des Moines, Iowa)
Jean-Gabriel Periot, "We Are Winning Don't Forget" (France)
Martin Back, "Performance For No One" (New Mexico)
Guido Braun, "The Green House Revisited" (Germany)
Paul Ritt, "Spirit" (Holland)
Cara Marisa Deleon, "Convulse" (Savannah, Georgia)

and possibly more.  In addition, the CONVERSIONs event will feature 
visual art
curated by the Haven Gallery, including work by Alison Ward, Shannon 
Lange,
Luis Pagan, Melissa Calderon, Trisha Hanudel, Anne Humenfeld, and 
Xavier.

Mott Haven is only 20 minutes from Union Square.

Directions to the Haven Gallery: Take the 4/5 train to 138th 
Street/Grand
Concourse. Walk east 2 blks, left on Canal Place, right on 141st St.

We are still looking for visual artists and experimental video, film, 
music,
and performance for the March event and future events as well.  If you

can be film, video, visual art, performance, dance, or music), please
