steal smiles
from whales
why not
I've written
everything else
what will
their juices have
for dessert?
why not
I've asked
everything else
wondered about
everything else,
I should say...
in THIS poem,
America's enemies
are sewn into the
emerging giraffes,
& who would
want to hurt
a giraffe? not
even the folks
who club baby
seals would lay
a finger
on a giraffe
Swinburne would
have, gleefully, but
no one's
seen him for
a while, I've
