I would like to share some great news here.
Perhaps you have seen already on the net already that
Canadian artist Istvan Kantor known more as Monty
Cantsin received Canada Councils's Governor-General
Award for Visual and Media Arts.

Of course institutions and journnalists protest at the Canada Council,
also the National Gallery of Canada is nervous about Kantor's
planned visit to Ottawa March 10 to pick up the country's top
art prize. Institution ensure the audience that special security
measures are taken, Kantor is going to be accompanied by two security
guards at the award ceremony and at National Gallery's group exhibition as
well.

Istvan Kantor is banned from several major museums in the world
for his destruction art, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and National
Gallery in Ottawa among others. Journalists claim that giving him the
Governor General award is something like giving the Nobel prize
to Osama bin Laden for his peace activity.

Anyway, the it's great to see that Istvan Kantor's more than 25
years of uncompromised avantgarde artistic work is rewarded,
and that Canada Council defends its choice.

greetings,
ab
