Panel accused of violating transportation act (6/24)

LEESVILLE - Allegations of wrongdoing ranging from working on private
property to police jurors personally directing employees is being
investigated by two state agencies.
First Assistant Louisiana Legislative Auditor Grover Austin confirmed his
agency received allegations that the Police Jury may have violated the
state's Parish Transpor-tation Act.
Legislative Auditor Steve J. Theriot said investigators are in the "early
stages" of a preliminary review of the allegations. (More)
