Subject:Cory Arcangel Video Interview @ Wigged

Wigged Productions (http://www.wigged.net) an organization dedicated to

making new and innovative art more accessible through broadcast and Web-

based presentations is pleased to present a video interview with computer

artist, Cory Arcangel. A link to the video can be found on Wigged's

  homepage (http://www.wigged.net).

Cory Arcangel, member of the BEIGE programming ensemble, uses obsolete

computers found at thrift stores and garage sales as means to express his

ideas. As part of his artistic practice, Arcangel likes to hack old

computer games. For example, Arcangel's i shot andy warhol is a modified

version of the interactive light gun game, Hogan's Alley. In i shot andy

warhol, players are asked to shoot various 8-bit versions of Andy Warhol,

while being careful to avoid other characters such as the Pope, Flavor
Flav,

and Colonel Sanders. Arcangel's work is included in the Whitney Biennial

  2004.

Quicktime 6.4 or later and a DSL/Cable modem or faster is required to view
  the video.
