B92 AND VERAN MATIC WINNERS OF THE CITY OF BELGRADE AWARD

BELGRADE, April 16, 2004- As part of the celebration of a jubilee - 
600 years of Belgrade as a capital, the Municipal assembly  announced 
the winners of this year's City of Belgrade Award in the formal 
session on Thursday. One of the winners is RTV B92. Editor-in-chief 
of RTV B92 Veran Matic received the City of Belgrade Award for 
journalism.The actor Predrag Miki Manojlovic received the City of 
Belgrade Award for the theatre, for the role of Moliere in the play 
"Moliere, one more life ". Award for literature and translation went 
to the writer  Gordana Cirjanic, for a novel  "A House in Puerto", 
published by "Narodna knjiga". Award for the film was granted to the 
director Goran Markovic for the film  "Kordon", produced by RTS and 
"Victoria Film".
