Dance and Media 2004 / TOKYO
DANCE VIDEO CLIPS / Exhibition of video arts, with the motif of dance

Presentation of video art with motif of dance, documentation films from
public contribution.
Works to be invited from public in Japan and overseas.
Invite dance films by young artists from public in UK, France, Germany,
USA and Japan and in each country works to be selected and evaluation to be
shown at WEB site.

(record or documentary of such as dancer, company etc)
[3] Promotion works for dance company or dancers

[ Tape Format for Submission ]
-Mini DV, DV tape recorded by DV-CAM system or VHS
-In case of HI-8 or s cam, please contact the office.
-In case sound is processed with such as noise and digital noise for special effect, 
please fill in the "Work data sheet" about$B!!(Bthat. Merely 2CH, stereo sounds are 
available. In case special sound specification is used, please let us know.
-As for works in monochrome or silence, please let us know.
-Before the submission, rights concerning music, material and performers 
shall be resolved.

[ Announcement/ Release ]
Information filled in "Entry sheet" and "Work data sheet" will be introduced on 
the brochures which is distributed at the event and
at the web site. We will maintain the information at the website after the exhibition 
as "event history". It shall help the promotion of the works and artists.

[ Entrance Fee ]
800 Yen/day (provisional)

[ Selection of the work ]
1) Selectors from wide range of activities; not only from dance field, but also 
from design, music, architect, fashion etc.
The selectors will give comments with the title "the work I selected"
2) It is not competition. Selector will select works. At the exhibition projector 
and screen/NTSC monitor will be used.
3) NTSC monitor is also available for the reproducibility of the video art.
4) Submitted master tape will be converted to DVCAM for exhibition.
5) Selected works (several) will be exhibited during the event as a part of 
special exhibition. Other exhibition and promotion by DVD package are planned.

[ Exhibition Schedule (provisional) ]
-Works from overseas UK/Chine, Hong Kong : 1 day
-Selected works : 1 day
-All the works submitted: 2 days (owing to circumstances, not every work might 
be exhibited)
-Symposium : 1 day

 [ Handling of Submitted Works ]
1) Please be noted that the submitted master tape shall not be returned. 
Copied mother tape or copied tape should be submitted.
2) Part of your work might be shown on the flyer, website and advertisement 
on TV etc for promotion.In case it is not possible for your side, please let us know.
3) If Original works such as music and materials, which cleared our quality criteria for 
picture, contents etc, will have
possibility to be included in digest version "
Dance and Media 2004" DVD. In that case, you will be informed separately.
Your work will be shown on TV, or domestic/world wide tour of the exhibition.
4) Other exhibition plans
Dance and Media Japan is planning exhibition tour at Paris, Seoul, London etc.
Works applied for "Dance and Media 2004/Tokyo" will be shown there as well.
Detailed information will be informed in such case. Please inform of your address, 
mail address etc if they are changed.
Exhibition information will be updated.
Technical details of the exhibition might be changed.
