If any fun-loving readers of syndicate, with an ear for politics, have the
bandwidth, I would highly recommend an hour of streamed video from
yesterday's Democracy Now broadcast, <http://www.democracynow.org>. It's
available as audio as well, but the images are half the story. The headline
reads:

Scholar Norman Finkelstein Calls Professor Alan Dershowitz's New Book On
Israel a "Hoax."

Both men are in the studio and the ensuing banter is, well, pretty
hilarious, despite the seriousness of the subject matter. Dershowitz, who I
personally embraced when he made his case FOR torture by the US, had
promised $10,000 to the PLO (a promise made on FOXNews's Scarborough
Country) if anyone could point to a factual error in his book "The Case for
Israel." Needless to say, there were some snippets here and there...

Finkelstein interchangeably called Dershowtiz either a fraud, a plagiarist
or a disgrace to his institution (Harvard Law School, where he is a
professor).

We watched it twice yesterday and are still in a good mood.
