The field of media arts inspires like nothing else in the world of arts today.

The ACA Media Arts Festival defines new modes of expression,
showcases artists who have produced works of outstanding brilliance,
and introduces the creative process that goes into such works to a
wider audience.

The number of entries continues to rise on an annual basis, with last
year's festival featuring 1,375 works of art.
In addition, the Exhibition of Prize-winning Works attracted 29,000
visitors in 2002-just another sign that this festival is growing into
one of the top events devoted to media arts in Japan.

The broad spectrum of genres that are highlighted covers such forms
of media arts as manga, anime (animation), video games, Web site
designs, computer graphics, and interactive art.
Participation is welcome irrespective of whether the artist is a
professional or an amateur and regardless of whether the works
involved are independent creations or were made for a commercial
purpose.

Push the envelope and ponder the boundless possibilities of media arts.
We eagerly look forward to receiving your applications.
