Just for the record, even though August and I were both born in 1957 and we are both living in California, I am not one of August's 80 different personas. I am living in Northern California while August is in Southern California. 

It is my sincere hope that we will split the state in two someday, an idea that has been given serious consideration and is likely to resurface again in reaction to another actor from SoCal taking over the state government.

It is beginning to appear very likely that Arnold will win if we look at the polls and poll trends - the democrats are in disarray; their heavy artillary such as Clinton, Lieberman, Gore etc has been entirely ineffective and possibly detrimental to the mood of the voters, while the democrat front-runner Bustamante has run an inept campaign.

I am interested in this phenomena as an intersection of art, fantasy, anxiety, political theater, collective unconsious yearnings, video game and violent entertainment influence, intense internet use, etc. but don't feel smart enough to pull it all together into a cohesive statement that I would like to make because California has a disproportionate influence on the United States and the world. California will be coming to a theater near you soon, I am afraid, and even if you don't care because you don't live in California I think it is worth noting that the future of politics in the new new Internet age is here and I am not the only one struggling to make sense of it all.
