WANTED: GERMANY'S FAVOURITE CLIP
Voting for the MuVi Online Audience Award commences 1 April
On 1 April 2003 all candidates for the fifth Oberhausen MuVi Award for the
Best German Music Video go online to allow viewers to vote for their choice
to win the third annual MuVi Online Audience Award. The clips will be
available as streamings in Real Player format on the Short Film Festival's
website, www.kurzfilmtage.de, as well as on the websites of the MuVi
partners: www.intro.de, www.arte-tv.com/tracks and www.diebels.de.
From 1 to 30 April users can click to choose their favourite clip for the
MuVi Online. Thanks to Diebels, the award includes prize money for the
first time this year, in the amount of 500 euros. The award ceremony will
take place on Saturday, 3 May 2003, during the 49th International Short
Film Festival Oberhausen. On that day, an international jury of film
specialists will bestow the MuVi Online Audience Award and the other MuVi
Awards, worth 5,000 Euros, that were also donated by Diebels for the first
time.
The MuVi Online Audience Award for 2002 went to Ted Gaier and Deborah
Schamoni for their clip, FLIMMERN (music: Die goldenen Zitronen).
Artwork for the 2002 award winner can be ordered per e-mail by writing to
niewalda at kurzfilmtage.de.
We would like to thank Diebels for its generous support of the MuVi Award
and the MuVi Online Audience Award.
For those unable to attend the Short Film Festival, the MuVi Award media
partners, INTRO and the ARTE trend magazine TRACKS, will be reporting in
detail on the clips and events (in Germany and France).
