1- often wonder 'where new media begins and old media ends'?
especially as without energy and earlier technological advances
(radio, transistors, tv cathode-ray tubes, telephony - switches, +)
'the Internet' and computing would not exist. it is wondered if it
exists to a degree or percentage by way of statistics of how
developed infrastructures are, and those countries where new
media is at the forefront of considering ideas.... some numbers...

2- the idea of the relation between spaces and places via
power structures (literally, energy and power production and
consumption) is of interest between Eastern Europe and Western
Europe if those are accurate terms in the age of the European Union.
these 'networks' were laid before the internet and with early telecom,
and advances in the 1990s seemed to indicate an international
inter-locking of major power-grids (for trading/exchanging energy
as a fluid commodity, it seems). thus, preceding the E.U. or at the
same time was the interlocking of power grids, relations between
countries in terms of power production and consumption, possibly
in tune with political power amongst other representations (media).
tried to find a map quickly as i know they exist and found an example
that will suffice, although the map is not visible, the idea is, at:
