Radio Liberte is a group of young journalists in Cameroon seeking  
assistance in setting up their own radio station, with the aim of  
creating HIV/AIDS awareness among young people. Text in English and  
French.

   English text: We are a group of young Journalists in Cameroon. Since  
cameroonian Youth is very affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic, we are  
campaigning to get young people involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS   
and other sexually transmitted diseases. Despite limited means, we plan  
to produce Youth programms and magazines, reports, other lyrics  
produced by comedians, all targeting youth against HIV/AIDS.  We are   
looking for assistance in establishing our own Radio Station in which  
50% of programmes will be based on  the fight against HIV/AIDS; ie  
audio material, and the means of production such as CDs, minidiscs,   
microphones, recorders (cassettes). Grateful for any help.

  French text: Nous sommes un regroupement de jeunes journlistes  
produisant des reportages et magazines,  pour sensibiliser les jeunes  
sur  les risques d'un comportement (sexuel) irresponsble. Avec des  
spots et des textes pour comédie instructive, nous voulons eviter aux  
jeunes la derive. Mais c'est une methode qui ne peut avoir d'efficacité  
que si nous sommes  à 'abri d'un certain nombre de besoin: materiel de  
production, remuneration; or, en creant notre Station de Radio, nous  
avons un emploi, et nous pouvons consacrer notre programation à plus de  
50% de nos objectifs de sensibilisation...Pouriez vous nous aider,   
avec du materiel de production, puis, avec du materiel pour avoir notre  
station installée? Merci.
