George Soros helped occupation of Balkan countries, in military way,
financing paramilitary and rebel armies, and in cultural and ideological way
financing projects that are aimed to annihilate nation, tradition, religion,
favorizing homosexuals, lesbians and other minority groups that could bring
more votes through NGOs and other activists to the new world order puppets
regimes and occuapators.  Soros has left Slovenia and Croatia perhaps
because they are now occupied, directed by the new world order, but he is
still in Yugoslavia (Serbia, Kosovo) and Bosnia which are still not
completely under NATO's control. Also I have much doubt about Soros'
altruism, I think he rather works for CIA using their money, serving as a
paravan. And those "intelligentsia" in the Eastern countries that was
sponsored by him are the most corrupted and immoral people I know. By the
way they remind me very much to communists from the developed faze of state
communism.

This is largely distorted view, Josip. Soros did not actually harm Croatia.
He did enjoy for quite a while the role of a 'Kulturbundtraeger' in the
'barbaric' post-communist wild East. And that was while his primary business
of a hedge fund trader was doing well. At that, he was primarily ruining
rich (like Britain), rather than poor countries, so he was not all that bad.
But the markets went South for everybody, and large hedge fund traders
suffered the most, and they were the first to suffer. Soros simply doesn't
have billions to give away any more, hence he has to shut down his
charitable enterprise (i.e., God doesn't have much to do with it). And the
first places to do so are those that attained some degree of 'openness' of
their societies. He withdrew from Slovenia last year, and from Croatia he is
going to do so this year. He didn't make profit out of OSI operation. He
merely avoided paying taxes by investing that money into boosting his ego.
He was very proud to have hundreds of members of 'inteligentsia' in
post-communist Europe depend on his handouts and propagate his beliefs
zealously, as they used to do the beliefs of the mother Party. He used to
tell a friend of mine: they don't call this Soviet Empire any more, they
call it Soros Empire, now. But his beliefs, the beliefs of the Open Society,
are the fundamental principles that Western European societies were built on
since the renaissance, which made the West the pre-eminent power on our
planet.

Tragically, he is a businessman, not a grass-roots activist/organizer. The
OSI was a large supra-national non-profit corporation, like Coca-Cola or
Nike, and while Nike employs poor people to make shoes for less than an
American worker would be payed, OSI employed local impoverished professors
and youthful alternative journalists to build civil society for a lesser
cost than USAID professionals would charge. In that respect Soros played a
very good role. But he needed an establishment to run his business, and
establishment in post-communist Eastern Europe were those who were just
about to become aparatchiks in the system, when the system disappeared in
its historic oblivion. Young professionals there meant people who were
waiting for their chance on the party ladder to open up, just like they wait
here climbing the corporate ladder. Soros, essentially provided employment
for them. And as with corporate people here, some of them were honest,
hard-working people and some of them were outright crooks - a couple of
years ago Russian OSI had to post a list on the Internet of couple of dozen
people banned from OSI funds forever for fraud and embezzlement. Similar
situation plagued virtually all OSI operations East of Hungary. That lead to
building OSI into a huge bureaucracy, which then needed more funds to
sustain itself than to actually run useful programs. OSI hubs became akin to
the communist party secretariats od catholic church archdioceses, where
people would go in droves to fill out cumbersome applications begging for
money, and often the projects that would be most palatable to the hierarchy
(which were not neccessarily the best projects) would get a 'green light'. I
guess Soros must have been quitely disappointed with the direction that has
taken, and decided to pull out. The OSI headquarters in NYC are also
subjected to 'downsizing'. Soros is still present in Serbia (helping radio
b92), Bosnia and Kosovo, but it is likely that the OSI operation will
eventually boil down to ERRC run from Budapest (Roma are his primary
concern, since this is a group of people not well socially integrated and
deprivileged not only in Eastern Europe societies but in the West as well -
kind of like Blacks in the US before Martin Luther King), and the university
that he operates in Prague. Meanwhile, he is going to invest more of his
time and money into DPF, fighting for decriminalization of cannabis in the
US, the cause I applaud wholeheartedly.

Gospodin Soros, izbjeglica iz Madjarske, prilagodio se brzo nakon bijega iz
komunizma engleskom ugladjenom drustvu. Kao izbjeglica brzo je dobio podrsku
nekih spijunskih sluzbi. Kao trgovac vrijednosnih papira brzo je napredovao
i poceo praviti milijarde dolara na rusenju nekih novcanih valuta u malim i
siromasnim zemljama Azije i Afrike. To sto je time osiromasio jos vise jadne
zemlje, ljude kao gosp. Soros ionako nije bas mnogo briga. Nakon sto su
narodi u Europi izbacili komunizam sa svojih ledja, Geaorg Soros koji je do
tada bio nepoznat u politickim krugovima ubrzo se nasao na prvim stranama
dnevnih listova Istocne i Srednje Europe kao spasitelj.

Otvoreno drustvo Georg Soros - naziv je raznih instituta u zemljama koje su
se jedva dokopale domokratskog drustvenog uredjenja, a izlika za djelovanje
u tim zemljama je bila da ce ih "Otvoreno drustvo Georg Soros" uciti
demokraciji. Kad su narodi Srednje i Istocne Europe zaista trebali pomoc,
gosp. Soros je mlatio milijarde i nije mario za male narode u Europi. Bilo
je to tada za njega opasno i neprofitno. Nakon pada berlinskog zida na
kontinent se odmah iz Londona ubacio Maxwell sa svojim investicijama u
novarske kuce, pa kad se otkrilo da je kruk i da radi za izraelsku
obavijestajnu sluzbu, more ga pojelo negdje na Mediteranu. Ostao je jedino
Soros koji je investirao novac u Madjarsku i Rusiju, a ostale narode je
usrecio s financiranjem petokolonasa preko svojih ureda. I njegov
specijalitet su bile medie. Hrvatska mu je posebno bila u vidu radi udara na
katolicku crkvu koju ne po
