Permit me to speak, not from a place of fear, but in an emerging voice

Maybe this is how america has changed. The rage is being channelled into

There has been an explosion in our short lifetimes:
transistor, DNA, transistor radio, computer, FORTRAN: the fist high level 
computer languages, rock n' roll, LSD & Mescaline, Sputnik, mutual assured 
destruction, a giant leap towards racial and sexual equality, integrated 
circuit, the spread of eastern philosphy into the west, unix, personal 
computer, lasers, sexual revolution, cable and satellite television, moon 
landing, genetic engineering, internet, email, world wide web, prozac, aids, 
hubble space telescope, collapse of communism, environmental destruction on 
a global scale, information goes digital and global, america emerges as a 
hyper power, globalization, capital becomes global, labor becomes global, 
sythetic digital images, mass extinction of species, the domination of space 
by america, a man in yemen is killed by a drone piloted by a woman in 
Florida (maybe she went to DisneyWorld later that day?), and on,

and on, picking up speed, the tipping point has happened...

Do you look in the rear view mirror when you are careening around corners as 
faster than you can safely go?

Bush represents old america, the past. Bush will be gone in a few years. 
Bush is a policeman and has his role.

new america is emerging from this explosion. new america is leading this 
explosion. new america is being formed all over the globe. the best and 
brightest are joining us. a new consciousness is forming.

what to call this collection of new men and new women?

Much of Nietzsche belongs to the past but some of his prophesies are 
unfolding.

Osama bin Laden recognizes all of this. He sees this power. He is desperate 
to stop it.
