(1) Tokyo, 4 Weeks

A borderless, extensive art event: P3 Cafe Night
by Hatanaka Minoru

P3 is back. Many people will remember the countless exhibitions, concerts
and other
events that have been held at the P3 gallery space in the basement of
Tochoji temple
in Yotsuya. Artists that have performed there that immediately spring to
mind include
sound artists ranging from Kosugi Takehisa to Rolf Julius and Christina
Kubisch, as
well as media artists Ingo Gunther or Mikami Seiko. Also among the events shown
there is an installation by David Sylvian and Robert Fripp. Each of these
presentations
was orchestrated as a 'scenario' consisting of space, artwork and audience.
