The film also co-stars Fionnula Flanagan, Shirley Knight and Maggie Smith. Ruh-ro Shaggy! The animated classic "Scooby Doo" gets a live-action twist as Matthew Lillard, Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar and Linda Cardellini take on the roles of Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and Velma. Tom Cruise is pursued by futuristic police for a crime he hasn't committed ... yet. The film is directed by Steven Spielberg. Adam Sandler is Mr. Deeds, a small-town businessman who inherits a multi-billion dollar media empire. Winona Ryder co-stars in the comedy. Michael J. Fox provides the voice for the little mouse adopted by a human family.
