::that's great, s.pecially if this suits as such an avenue in which colabs
like this can function....i, 2, have used the web.board 2 order 2 construct
net.wurks, though i think the term collaboration doesn't really fit in
terms of the wurks that r constructed........

::firstly, i'm typing here from a comparison viewpoint, not offering
universal standards by which an email forum offers a more cohesive avenue
than a web-based discussion area in terms of adequate community
formation/maintenance. my x.perience of receiving contributions from list
members in a streamlined list forum [which is how _ _ began] was more
powerful, more indicative of the communal-type-activity that i felt closely
linked 2 as a trace member. there was no segregation in2 discrete topics
[which i find highly restrictive when using the web.board] & no need 2
polarize various types of writing or contributors according to areas that
make the channels prescriptive [which i also find happening via web.board].
i don't find the same lvl of continuity using the web.board [here], i find
the split in2 categories that hark back 2 a more dead-tree-print-oriented
media rather than focusing on lectronic media disturbing, & confusing. the
"read-only" [closed 2 contribution] topics also confuse me...it indicates a
lack of perception of the dispersal method these forums can actualise.....
also, the immediacy that was offered via a single email forum is now broken
up in2 sectioned trimeframes, in that a inter.actor is forced 2 trawl thru
an amazing amount of administrative "red-tape" in order 2 access the
community on the most basic of lvls.....signing in, negotiating a web
interface, etc........

::in terms of a wurking organisation, i feel that _ _needs 2 start
clarifying its position in relation 2 how it fits [is located] within an
institutionalised structure...and i c that orienting the web.board in this
way only acts to add to the disarray inherent in its structural &
ideological bases....
