Main parts of the project:

Videorun via the railroad through half of Russia's territory (5,192 km),
with its itinerary including central cities of Urals and Sibir -
Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Kansk and Irkutsk.

The First Kansk Video Festival with screenings of the newest international
videofilm program.

Culture Fishing, the concluding 5-day-long festival on the Baikal lake,
uniting video-, multimedia- and musical components of the project.

Presentation of the Anthology Of Ural'n Sibir Video in the DOM centre and a
documentary video creation are intended to summarize the project.

Project is designed for two weeks: 1 through 15 August 2002.

Festival), and Irkutsk - displaying videofilms and multimedia-projects of
the following directors and artists: Gio Sumbadze, Nicki Machaidze
(Georgia), Piter Style (Poland), Boris Serginov (Bulgaria), Nadia Slovak
(Chekh Republic), Ilia Chichkan, Arsen Savadov, Georgy Senchenko (Ukraine),
Jaak Kilmi, Andreas Maimik, Killu Sukmit, Kiva (Estonia), Viacheslav Mizin,
Dmitry Bulnygin, Konstantin Skotnikov (Novosibirsk), Oleg Ponomariov, Igor
Smirnov, Zhenia Ageeva (Krasnoyarsk), KinoKultProsvet group (St.
Petersburg), Gleb Aleinikov, Olga Stolpovskaya, Vladimir Doudtchenko, Viktor
Alimpiev, Fourth Height, Blue Soup groups, Videodom studio (Moscow), and
others; also screening selected parts from the programs of the Circles of
Confusion (Berlin), Austrian Slavic Culture Festival (Graz) and other

Sylvestrov, Viacheslav Mizin, Viktor Savchenko, Ilia Chichkan and others).
Collection and enforcement of the Videorun program with local video- and
multimedia-folklore of the action participant cities. Culture Fishing - a
five-day festival on Baikal lake with the complete Videorun program
screening (including the new materials), master-classes, VJ projects'
presentations and concerts. Shooting of a video documentary by Kulturdrag
participants.

The eight-day rout of the Videorun will lead through vast territories of
Russia and make 5,192 km in total by rail; cultural and educational events
of the Videorun will be held in the largest cities of Urals-Sibir region
with the total number of citizens of 4 mln 250 th. Each town - Ekaterinburg,
Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Kansk and Irkutsk - will host a one-day Multimedia
Circus, including master-classes, video-program screenings, VJ-projects and
concerts. VHS PAL copies of the complete version of the video-program will
be left behind in each city for further usage for educational and
culturological means (all the issues concerning copyrights for the video-
and multimedia-materials have been solved).

The First Kansk Video Festival in the eldest Sibir town of Kansk
(Krasnoyarsk region) will unite efforts of multiple directors and curators
specializing in the video-art, and will present the brand-new (2000-2002)
international program of video-films to the citizens of the town. It's being
planned to mark the best films (to be chosen by the jury) with special
prizes.

Culture Fishing on the Baikal lake (the finishing part of the Kulturdrag) is
a 5-day-long festival displaying the whole of the program of the Videorun,
complete with the video- and multimedia-materials to be collected in the
cities of Urals and Sibir, with presentations of VJ-projects and with
master-classes of the participants of the Kulturdrag.

a) Kulturdrag Nach Osten project is a multi-component action for education
and cultural exchange in the largest (Uralo-Sibirsky) region of Russia,

conjecturing acquaintance of the regional centres' citizens with the actual
video- and multimedia art of the Russian and European capitals, as well as
with the technical achievements in this given field. The project is intended
for revealing and developing of regional initiatives in the video- and
multimedia art, and their further promotion in the European region.

b) 'Drag Nach Osten' project is intended for the experts and professionals
in art - directors, artists, art critics, curators, journalists - and same
like for the most assorted viewers in the largest cities of Urals and Sibir.

Regional Public Organization House For Artistic Self-Expression 'DOM'

Cultural Centre DOM is a multi-purpose non-commercial cultural centre,
founded on the basis of the Moscow House For Amateur Art in 1999. Main
directions of the activities of the Cultural Centre DOM include (but are not
limited with) contemporary art, ethnic music, neo-academic music,
underground cinema, video, graphic design, photography, choreographic art,
performance. During the three-year activities a huge experience in holding
music festivals (Alternativa, Deep Throat, Upon the Carpet etc.),
exhibitions of Russian and European artists and photographers, cinema- and
video-festivals (Cinephantom, Videoaddiction, Alcofilm etc.), cultural
exchange actions (Ubergang (Switzerland), Too Much Spirit (UK), etc) has

with the Ford Foundation, the British Council, Goethe Institut, French
