Please excuse my taking up of space but academic purposes demand that I shall use your presence here to ask a few questions to which it seams close to imppossible to get a definite answer.

1) Is net.art dead? Did it die in 1998? Was it born in 1994? Why do people claim so? Who proclaimed it born? Who pronounced it dead? Is it undead?

2) What is net.art? What is net art? Where is it? Who is it? What are its most relevant artists? What are the most important formats? 

3)What is the difference between naive net art and net Art? Is there an accademic net art? Corporate net art? What classifications exist?

4) Do art_works in Macromedia Flash classify as net.art? Is Macromedia a co-author of all that art? 

5) Do artworks in VRML qualify as net.art? Whats the story of VRML? (links welcome, please)?

6) ASCII --- how far did those landscapes of barely printable textual words get us? Whats going on? 3d ASCII? Else? Code art? How far can the term net.art or net art go?

7) What did the szstem of contests do to the development net.art if anything?
