FILE – international festival of electronic language is opening the
Registrations for its’ third edition in 2002, in São Paulo and
Curitiba, Brazil.

The last two editions, the FILE has been showing what is going on in
the electronic digital art of the world networks. The FILE has been
consolidating, lately, a reference source of study and research for
artists and researchers, as well as, consolidating an interactive
environment for the general public.

In the FILE 2000 it was exposed webarts, netarts, artificial life,
animations and virtual reality, among others, as well as lectures
with artists and scientists.

In the FILE 2001, besides what was exposed in 2000, it was
highlighted categories such as webfilms and physical installations
related to teleconference, robotic and multi-users virtual reality.
In 2001, the offline version of FILE took place in São Paulo, at MIS
( Museu da Imagem e do Som) and in Curitiba at the Cinemateca
of the city.

For the FILE 2002, we are launching the FILE- SYMPOSIUM 2002,
symposium that will establish an effective meeting point in the city
of São Paulo, where professionals from all over the world can meet,
exchange and discuss about what is happening in the arts, technology and 
networks areas. We are emphasizing to artists, intellectuals, thinkers, 
researchers, event organizers and scientists come to São Paulo during the 
month of august and participate of
the expositions, debates, and workshops.

This year, the offline version of FILE will take place at the instituição 
Cultural Paço das Artes, an space in the city of São Paulo dedicated to the 
contemporary arts.


FILE 2002 guideline

FILE 2002 will be accomplished in São Paulo city from 08th- to
22nd- August , 2002
The registration will be from February 01 to April 15, 2002. It is
free and open to professionals, researchers and students of electronic 
language.
