Young radical art from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok
Russia's young radical art scene presents itself in Berlin and Vienna under
the titel "Davai!" - "Let's go!". In this art project organised jointly by
the Berlin Festival and MAK in Vienna, attention is focused for the first
time not only on the major cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg but includes
artists from other parts of the Russian Federation - from Kaliningrad to
Vladivostok. These young artists, who have grown up without censorship and
state-imposed restrictions, no longer need to imitate the West, and now
show their whole face free of the constraints of the old ideology and
without the stigma of being "Third World artists". The exhibition will be
on display from 10th January to 27th February in the Berlin Postfuhramt and
from 19th June to 22nd September, 2002 in the MAK in Vienna.

Bill Viola has a new work in the Guggenheim Berlin.
It's a good Viola, I think, so people in Berlin might have a look.
Like most of his works it's quite good in the use of space and sound also.
