     [LONDON] The legendary aphrodisiac from William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream 
     has been recreated to celebrate St Valentine's Day. The potion was prepared by researchers 
     at the fragrance company Quest International, based in Naarden in the Netherlands, following 
     a request from Britain's Royal Shakespeare Company to the other RSC, the Royal Society of Chemistry.

     The elixir ‹ which promises to "make man or woman madly dote upon the next live creature that it sees" 
     ‹ was prepared from the flower Viola tricolor, a member of the pansy family. "It will be interesting 
     to see what kind of effect the perfume might have," says Charles Sell, an organic chemist with Quest. 
     The potion certainly gave Titania, the queen of the fairies and its first recipient, an interesting 
     time: she fell in love with Bottom, whom previous magical shenanigans had left with the head of a donkey.
