Robert Ayers has been presenting a series of performance miniatures, The
Public and Private Hangings, since May of this year.
Intended less as performances than insinuations of the eloquent body into a
range of public and private contexts, these hangings have accompanied his
more complex performance pieces at festivals in Lyon, Brisbane, and Perth.
