     Graduate Art Student Conference
     When    May 4th   Beginning at 11:00
     Where   Barney Building NYU University
                  34 Stuyvesant  Street Between 2nd and 3rd Ave. in
     the East Village.
     Why       Studio Art students have unique educational needs
     and concerns, this conference gives studio art graduate
     students the opportunity to discuss art education with other
     students from the region.  Several schools through out the
     region are participating, including Parsons, Purchase,
     Hartford, NYU, Virginia Commonwealth, University of
     Connecticut, and others. This event is open to all Graduate
     Studio Students and is free.

     The Graduate Student Conference will begin with a key note
     address by Robert Storr, curator of MOMA. The graduate
     students will then break up into groups and discuss various
     educational topics amongst themselves. A light lunch will be
     served and afterwards the students will report their ideas
     back to a general assembly.
     A reception will be held following the conference.

     Faculty are welcome to attend the lecture with Robert Storr
     and are encouraged to attend the closing session of the
     conference (3:30) in the Auditorium.

     Schedule for May 4th
     11:00   Introduction by student
     11:10   Keynote speaker Robert Storr
     11:40   Questions
     12:00   Students Break up into groups to discuss topics
     2:00     Break for lunch
     3:30     Reconvene in the auditorium to hear from each group
     5:00     Reception and slide show. So bring slides of your
     work
