One Hundred Years of Idiocy

by Ozaki Tetsuya

Next to producing and publishing REALTOKYO, I'm sometimes involved also in the
editing of other, printed publications. In comparison with the 24-hour pace
of providing
information almost real-time with REALTOKYO, carefully putting together the
pages of
such long-term projects is a physically relaxing work. The newest one is an
illustrated
book, titled "One Hundred Years of Idiocy," and its popular edition is
published on April
22 (Earth Day) by "Think the Earth" Project/Kinokuniya Bookstore. An
original reprint
and an overseas version will be published later on. I would like to use
this occasion to
advertise this book here.

(2) Tokyo Visitors' Book

The twenty-fifth visitor comes from Hong Kong, and his name is Nose Chan:

(3) Event Pick of the Week

A Night with Jimi Tenor

Although his celebrated first WARP release, "Intervision," catapulted the
pale Fin to
the top of the not so serious half of the techno world in 1997, he managed
to stay on
the underground side of stardom without letting go of his rather lo-fi
trademark sound.
Somewhere between Austin Powers and Andy Warhol, he seems to be making fun of
basically everything but, paired with his unique sense, musical talent and
care in the
arrangements, this is a highly explosive mixture. Like Warhol, Tenor is
also active in
film and photography, and two of his rare film works are also going to be
shown at this
event. Sounds like pure fun and great entertainment with some weird twists
and turns.
