of course) to no one in particular:

     THIS SENTENCE IS A QUESTION.

     THIS SENTENCE IS A QUESTION.  (nn retches audibly in the audience)

metaphor (doing a little jig):

     tee hee, you are me! you are me!
     tee hee, silly goose!
     (mockingly:) THIS QUESTION IS A BIG SENTENCE!
     tee hee!

(more absurd jigging)

synthesis (menacing) fetches a big club.

the club turns to letters, which fall to the floor.

metaphor laughs, jigs, and leaves abruptly.

synthesis looking helpless. the letters turn into a black cat, which
flees. synthesis alone; curtain.
