Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde,

der folgende weltweite Appell sollte von so vielen Personen wie möglich und

vor allem Nichtregierungsorgansationen unterzeichnet werden. Bitte füllen Sie 

zur Unterzeichnung das auf unserer Homepage stehende Formular aus,

füllen Sie auch den für Anregungen und Empfehlungen vorgesehenen Platz,

und schicken Sie den Appell weiter an alle Personen und Nichtregierungs

organisationen, die in diesem Sinne arbeiten. 

Wir, die Frauenaktion Scheherazade in Deutschland, werden die Unterschriften

sammeln und der UNO überreichen.

Warum Scheherazade? Ein rachsüchtiger Sultan wollte alle Frauen seines

Landes töten, jede Nacht eine andere, doch Scheherazade rettete ihnen

das Leben, indem sie den Herrscher 1001 Nächte lang mit ihren Märchen

davon abhielt. Anreden gegen Terror und Krieg, das versuchten und versuchen

auch wir, die Frauenaktion Scheherazade, die sich 1991 zu Zeiten des

Golfkriegs in Deutschland gegründet hatte. Damals riefen wir zu einer

Weltabstimmung gegen den Krieg auf und überreichten dem UN-General

sekretariat rund 50.000 auf allen Kontinenten gesammelte Unterschriften.

Gerechtigkeit statt Terror und Krieg!

Wir rufen nach einem globalen Brainstorming für zivile Konfliktlösungsstrategien, 

nach einem Internationalen Strafgerichtshof, einem UN-Konfliktrat und einem 

Weltsicherheitsrat der Frauen.

Wir haben einen Traum: den Traum von einer gerechten Welt ohne Terror,

Staatsterror und Krieg. Wir rufen nach Gerechtigkeit, denn Terroristen

müssen von einem internationalen Gerichtshof bestraft werden. Wir rufen

nach Gerechtigkeit, denn Krieg ist Staatsterrorismus. Wir rufen nach

Gerechtigkeit, denn zwei Drittel der Menschheit leben in Elend und

Unterdrückung, und die globalisierten Strategien der Multinationalen

Konzerne und ihrer politischen Unterstützer sorgen dafür, dass es jeden

Tag mehr werden.

Um als Eine Welt zu überleben, brauchen wir ein globales Brainstorming

für neue Strategien der Konfliktbewältigung und Deeskalation. Wir brauchen

die Zusammenarbeit der Nationen und die Solidarität der Völker. Wir

brauchen die UNO und die Kraft der Frauen- und Menschenrechtsorganisationen, 

der Umwelt- und Friedensgruppen, der AktivistInnen gegen Rassismus und

Diskriminierung sowie der GlobalisierungskritikerInnen. Wir brauchen neue 

ökonomische Strategien, die die furchtbare Polarisierung zwischen Arm und 

Reich rückgängig machen, die Rohstoffe gerecht verteilen und den Ausstieg aus

der Ölwirtschaft ermöglichen. Wir brauchen neue politische Strategien, die

sicher stellen, dass Menschenleben und Menschenrechte überall auf der

Welt gleich viel gelten.

Wir fordern die Nationen auf, insbesondere die USA, die Einrichtung des

geplanten Internationalen Strafgerichtshofs nicht länger zu blockieren. 

Dieser Gerichtshof ist der richtige Ort, um Terroristen und Staatsterroristen 

zu bestrafen.

Wir brauchen einen Weltsicherheitsrat der Frauen, denn sie sind in die

militärische Logik nicht eingebunden. Wir rufen Autorinnen, Wissenschaftlerinnen 

und unabhängige Persönlichkeiten auf, diesen Weltsicherheitsrat auf einer 

symbolischen Ebene zu konstituieren, indem sie sich an einer globalen 

Debatte beteiligen und Lösungsvorschläge für die gegenwärtige Krise formulieren.

Wir unterstützen den Ruf nach einem UN-Konfliktrat, der dem UN-Sicherheitsrat 

vorgeschaltet sein soll und folgende Aufgaben hat:

Feststellung friedensgefährdender Situationen, Deeskalation von Konflikten,

Regelungen für die Konfliktfolgezeit. Diese Forderung wurde bereits auf der

Weltfrauenkonferenz 1995 in Peking erhoben und ist aktueller denn je.

Der Konfliktrat sollte ohne Vetorecht und ohne militärische Optionen arbeiten

und durch Mitglieder von Nichtregierungsorganisationen geführt werden, die

Hälfte davon Frauen.

Unsere besondere Solidarität gehört gegenwärtig den unterdrückten,

leidenden, hungernden Frauen Afghanistans.

Dear friends,

We are asking as many people as possible to sign the following

international appeal, in particular nongovernmental organizations. Please 

fill in the form on our homepage, including the space for suggestions and

recommendations, and forward the appeal to all individuals and NGOs 

you know who are working on this issue. We, the Scheherazade Women's 

Action Group of Germany, will collect the signatures and pass them on 

to the United Nations.

Why Scheherazade? A vindictive sultan wanted to kill all his country's

women, one each night, but Scheherazade saved their lives. She stopped

the sultan by telling him fairytales for 1001 nights. We, the Scheherazade

Women's Action Group, have been speaking out against terror and war. Our

group was founded in 1991 at the beginning of the war in the Persian Gulf

region.

We called for a worldwide vote against war and presented the UN

Secretary General with about 50,000 signatures we had collected from all over

the world.

Justice Instead of Terror and War!

We are calling for international brainstorming on strategies for civil

conflict resolution, for an International Criminal Court, for a UN

Conflict Resolution Council, and for a World Security Council of Women.

We have a dream: the dream of a just world without terrorism, state

terrorism, and war. We are calling for justice because terrorists must

be punished by an international tribunal. We are calling for justice

because war is state terrorism. We are calling for justice because two-thirds

of humankind lives in misery and oppression, and the globalized strategies

of multinational companies and their political supporters ensure that the

number of those suffering is growing daily.

To survive as One World we need global brainstorming for new strategies

of conflict resolution and de-escalation. We need the cooperation of

countries and the solidarity of the people. We need the United Nations and the

power of women's and human rights organizations, environmental and peace

groups, activists against racism, discrimination, and globalization. We need

new economic strategies that will eliminate the terrible polarization

between rich and poor, redistribute raw materials in a just manner, and enable

us to become independent of the oil economy. We need new political

strategies ensuring that human lives and human rights have the same value all over

the world.

We urge countries, especially the United States of America, to no

Longer block the establishment of an International Criminal Court. It is the

Proper place to punish terrorists and state terrorists.

We need a World Security Council of Women, for women are generally not

Part of the logic of thinking in military terms. We call on women who are

writers, scholars, and independent individuals to set up the World Security

Council of Women as a symbolic site for global debate that will bring

Forth recommendations to resolve this international crisis.

We support the initiative to form a UN Council for Conflict Resolution

affiliated with the World Security Council and with the following

duties: to identify peace-threatening situations, to deescalate conflicts, to

establish rules for the post-conflict period. This demand was already formulated

at the 1995 International Women's Conference in Beijing and, today, is

more necessary than ever. The UN Council for Conflict Resolution should

convene without the right of veto or the option of military aggression and it

should be run by NGO representatives, half of whom are women.

Today our special solidarity is with the oppressed, suffering, and

starving women of Afghanistan.

Milé přítelkyně, milí přátelé,

následující celosvětovou výzvu by mělo podepsat co nejvíc osob a především co nejvíce neziskových nevládních organizací. Prosíme o Váš podpis vyplněním formuláře na naší homepage, využijte také prostor, který je určen Vašim připomínkám a doporučením, a rozešlete tento apel dalším osobám a nevládním neziskovým organizacím, které v tomto smyslu působí. 

My, akce žen Šeherezáda z Německa, pak podpisy soustředíme a předáme je OSN.

Proč Šeherezáda? Jeden pomstychtivý sultán hodlal pozabíjet všechny ženy své země, každou noc jednu další, ale Šeherezáda jim zachránila život, když panovníkovi v tomto úmyslu vyprávěním pohádek po 1001 nocí zabránila. Promluvit proti teroru a válce, o to jsme se pokusily a pokoušíme i my, akce žen Šeherezáda, která se během války proti Iráku 1991 konstituovala v Německu. Tenkrát jsme vyzvaly ke světovému hlasování proti této válce a předaly generálnímu sekretariátu UNO okolo 50.000 podpisů posbíraných na všech kontinentech.

Spravedlnost místo teroru a války!

Vyzýváme ke globálnímu brainstormingu za účelem hledání civilních strategií pro řešení konfliktů, vyzýváme ke zřízení Mezinárodního trestního soudu, Rady pro konflikty při OSN a ke zřízení Světové bezpečnostní rady žen. 

Máme jeden sen: sen o spravedlivém světě bez teroru, státního teroru a války. Voláme po spravedlnosti, protože teroristi musí být potrestáni před Mezinárodním soudním dvorem. Voláme po spravedlnosti, protože válku považujeme za státní terorismus. Voláme po spravedlnosti, neboť dvě třetiny lidstva žijí v bídě a pod útlakem, a globalizační strategie multinationálních koncernů a jejich političtí podpůrci mají zásluhu na tom, že jejich počet den ode dne roste.

Máme-li jako "Jeden svět" přežít, pak k tomu potřebujeme globální brainstorming na nové strategie pro překonávání konfliktů a pro jejich deeskalaci. Potřebujeme tu spolupráci národů a jejich vzájemnou solidaritu. Potřebujeme k tomu OSN a sílu ženských a lidsko-právních organizací, sílu ekologických a mírových skupin, aktivistek/-tů proti rasismu a diskriminaci stejně jako kritiček/-ků globalizace. Potřebujeme nové ekonomické strategie, které by začaly hrůznou polarizaci mezi chudobou a bohatstvím odstraňovat a suroviny spravedlivě rozdělovat a dovolily odstup od "naftové ekonomiky". Potřebujeme nové politické strategie zajišťující stejné ocenění a hodnocení lidského života a lidských práv všude na světě.

Vyzýváme národy, a především USA, aby už dále neblokovaly zřízení plánovaného Mezinárodního trestního soudního dvora. Tento soudní dvůr je tím správným místem pro potrestání teroristů i státního terorismu.

Potřebujeme Světovou radu bezpečnosti žen, protože ženy nejsou do vojenské logiky zapojeny. Vyzýváme spisovatelky, vědecké pracovnice a nezávislé osobnosti, aby založily Světovou bezpečnostní radu žen na symbolické úrovni, a sice formou své účasti na globální debatě a formulovaly návrhy řešení pro současnou krizi. 

Podporujeme výzvu k založení Rady pro konflikty při OSN, která by byla před Radu bezpečnosti OSN předsazena a měla následující úlohy: 

zjištění situace ohrožující mír, deeskalaci konfliktů a opatření pro období po konfliktu. Tento požadavek byl vznesen již na Světové konferenci žen v roce 1995 v Pekingu a je aktuálnější než kdykoliv předtím. Rada pro konflikty by měla pracovat bez práva veta a bez vojenských opcí a měla by být vedena členy nevládních neziskových organizací, z nichž polovinu by tvořily ženy. 

Naše solidarita patří v současnosti utiskovaným, trpícím a hladovějícím ženám z Afgánistánu.
