tech_2 leeds closing events - all welcome!

After a an intensive month of workshops and collaboration with 
members of Archway Centre in Leeds, Tech_2_Leeds reaches culmination 
on Saturday 13th October with two events at Leeds City Library in the 
centre of the city. The events showcase new digital art works and 
performers, and contextualise the project within contemporary 
debates and cultures.

Saturday 13 October
Leeds City Library, Headrow, LS1

1pm - 5pm
Black Presence In...
Black Presence InŠ is a seminar for Black History Month, which will 
explore the creative impact of digital technologies in addressing 
questions of difference, history and community.  With visual artists 
Roshini Kempadoo and Faisal Abdu'Allah, US artists Keith & Mendi 
Obadike, cultural theorist Tiziana Terranova and Members of Archway 
Centre.

7pm - 9pm
Straight Outta Leeds
A live multimedia performance event with a vibe of creativity from 
the Archway Centre and their invited contributors. Including:

Multimedia Arts by Archway members:
"Art of Life", "Future History", "Troubles"
Breakers Unify with DJ DMU
Live Mu Tai performance with Nicola MD
Spoken word from: Michelle Scally Clarke, Lucretia Liburd St Ange and more...
Whats Project DJ and friends
and other special guests.

Hosted by Karim Shahin from Omega Productions

PLUS: Graffiti, Photography, Black History Board, the Learning Centre.

Black Presence InŠand Straight Outta Leeds are part of Tech_2, a 
national touring programme of events managed by Media Art Projects in 
collaboration with local partners.  In Leeds Tech_2 is a 
collaboration with Pavilion's 'Switched On' project and young people 
at the Archway Centre.
