as trust

an echo's a sense or
a purity/hope
What is Trust?
Can it be signed &
sealed
put away for safe
keeping
stored in a box
titled sincerity

a keeping of quality
between persons
a measure of truth
in contrast to those
screwing
essence, killers of
truth

could it be an act
of mutual
faithfulness
protecting ones
vulnerable space
a commitment
declaring to the
other
a sign, a signal of
mutualness

a sign of security
for a sense of
security
How lost are we
without
trust
after the betrayal
we emerge kicked &
bruised
How lost we are
without this thing
that we call trust
Once exposed it
decomposes...
