*What economic alternatives are there to the art market?
What new formats could emerge within these alternatives? *

The art market induces a redundancy of legitimate artistic formats in 
that it channels the public taste toward a conventional horizon of 
expectations filled with objects incarnating the sublime form of the 
commodity. Much to the contrary, the invention of art critically 
reinterprets the economy of knowledge. Within this emergent context, 
artistic formats borrow - quite like as services do - from social 
techniques, protocols of cooperation, databases, cartography, 
geopolitics, opinion polling, entreprepreneurship, activism, etc. These 
practices function according to the models of the gift, of workplace 
sabotage (pérruque) , or of payment of fees. In substituting 
production-value by activity-value, they operate within sectors which 
are different from those that they modify: urbanism, the workplace, 
education, the company, health, the economy, architecture, etc.

Quels nouveaux formats ces alternatives permettent-elles ? *

Le marché de l'art induit une redondance des formats artistiques 
légitimes en réglant les goûts du public sur un horizon d'attente 
conventionnel peuplé d'objets incarnant la forme sublime de la 
marchandise. A contrario, l'invention de l'art réinterprète de façon 
critique l’économie de la connaissance. Dans ce contexte émergent, les 
formats artistiques empruntent, au modèle des services, aux techniques 
sociales, aux protocoles de coopération, aux bases de données, à la 
cartographie, à la géopolitique, à l'enquête, à l'entreprise, à 
l'activisme, etc. Ces pratiques opèrent sur le mode de la gratuité, de 
la perruque ou de la perception d'honoraires. En substituant une 
valeur-activité à une valeur-production, elles opèrent au cœur de 
différents secteurs qu'elles modifient : l'urbanisme, le travail, 
l'éducation, l'entreprise, la santé, l'économie, l'architecture, etc.
