Truth v. Paradise?

Neither exists - the closest we get to "truth" is
provisional at best. Paradise is a myth cooked up so
people will stay cheerful enough to reproduce even
though their lives are an utterly desperate misery
spent in wage slavery on a crowded planet within a
civilisation hellbent for Saturday. Paradise is a
daydream in today's world: We Are Atlantis.

Myths are pretty, but I can make up my own. Therefore
I choose Truth, even though it is, at best,
provisional. "No one knows, and you can't find out" is
better than "kill a commie for Christ" or "incinerate
yourself with the infidel and go to heaven..." - by
struggling against the darkness some small light can
be shed for some few moments, but the road to Paradise
is a Road to Nowhere paved by same corrupt contractors
who paved the Road to Hell, Oblivion, Madness and New
Jersey.
