xxx a =)

Dear friends

I honestly believe that my travel plans can stop Iceland from resuming
commercial whaling. That's why I put my name on a Greenpeace pledge
saying I would seriously consider taking a vacation in Iceland, rather
than somewhere else, if the Government of Iceland stopped whaling.

Now I'm asking if you'll do the same. It's easy and only takes a minute
at:

http://act.greenpeace.org/col/get?i=959&sk=is&la=en&r=389103

Our goal is to demonstrate to the Icelandic government how much whales
are worth to them alive. The Iceland tourist industry is on our side in
this battle, and we need to help them convince the Icelandic government
that a return to commercial whaling would be a costly mistake and a
gash in the reputation of a country that overall has a good
environmental record. Already the value of the pledge in tourist income
to Iceland is over $US 29 million, compared to the 3 to 4 million
earned from whaling back when Iceland last commercially hunted whales.
Over 25,000 people have pledged to visit Iceland if the government
stops whaling.

Iceland is a fabulous place to watch whales, and the country's rugged
mountains, glaciers, volcanos, and pristine wilderness make it an
attractive nature tourism destination. Hope you'll join in!
