LEV to KFOR clarification

Hello Kfor . . .
I hate to add another message to the bandwidth but I thought I should
clarify if possible.
The LEV list was turned off a month or two ago because of legal threats
against CalArts and its involvement in hosting the list. I won't go
into how lame I think that was but it really was!
At that time, I sent a message to the list informing everyone that the
list would eventually be moving. Well that was two months ago and I
think a number of people tuned out. In that time I worked on getting
the server moved which took a little while to set up. Today, the Kfor
list (which IS the LEV list on a new server with a different name) was
turned on. No problem only that I had intended to email the LEV list
first and explain the changes. So I would imagine a number of LEV list
subscribers suddenly got messages (tons of them at first) from the Kkor
list not knowing what was happening. It was a simple timing error in
that the list (which is hosted far away from California) was turned on
a few hours before I could email the LEV list to warn everyone about
the move.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused subscribed
members of the LEV list. My hopes were that LEV subscribers would be
able to stay on the Kfor list without having to subscribe again.
Instead a number of people were surprised and obviously some were angry
which is just how things like this go sometimes.
I hope you will enjoy the new home for the Kfor (LEV) list and I'm
sorry for not making the transition process easier. Thanks to everyone
at the new servers for hosting the list.
all the best,
-Clay
