Hello all,
Please excuse the self-promotion for a second, but I think this may be
of interest to some members of this list. I'm a member of a new
NYC-based experimental DVD label called Rebuild All Your Ruins, which
has just released its first DVD, a suite of minimal pieces by laptop duo
Nicedisc. Approaching the work of the structuralist school from a
digital perspective, the DVD explores the fundamental grammar of digital
audio and video composition, utilizing only full-screen colors (in fades
and stroboscopic flickering) and minimal audio loops in a manner that
references artists like Paul Sharits, Tony Conrad, and Ryoji Ikeda. All
of the pieces originated from live performance.
The DVD has been released in a limited edition pressing in Super Jewel
Case format with four bonus tracks recorded live on tour, and is
currently available from http://www.microcinema.com and http://rayr.net.
Regards,
